Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Garret Cage got the match started through his kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victor Cooley in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zackary McCall prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Randolph Hairston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gainesville's Victor Cooley got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zackary McCall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Cooley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th match minute, America United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roy Shaw to maneuver through the defense. Garret Cage received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Davis Guzman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Victor Cooley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind America United's goalkeeper Zackary McCall, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. America United's Garret Cage got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Victor Cooley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gainesville's Davis Guzman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harvey Dupre in the 34th minute of play. Gainesville's Randolph Hairston got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to America United getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Jerome Wooten hit a great ball. Benedict Randolph shot from long distance in the 42nd minute, but Zackary McCall was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Zackary McCall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Cooley, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Garret Cage's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Davis Guzman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victor Cooley made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Randolph Hairston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zackary McCall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Victor Cooley left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gainesville fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Dante Hutton's late challenge caught a America United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dante Hutton helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gainesville fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Davis Guzman, was totally fooled by America United's Jerome Wooten, who 61 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When Harvey Dupre came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the America United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harvey Dupre couldn't finish the play. After 68 minutes of play, Gainesville's Victor Cooley made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zackary McCall was left in no man's land by his defense there! 72 minutes into the game, Terrell Esposito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gainesville's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave America United the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Gainesville's zone, Garret Cage stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Davis Guzman came out of the goal and Garret Cage tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 83 minutes into the match, Gainesville's goal looked a bit too open when Garret Cage came free, but Davis Guzman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gainesville's Davis Guzman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Gainesville from getting a goal against them. 92 minutes into the game, Victor Cooley cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Zackary McCall was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Victor Cooley struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Zackary McCall didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gainesville. The audience was convinced that Randolph Hairston's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zackary McCall was relentless in the 99th minute of the game.
