Sammy Cardenas started the match with the kick off. The supporters of West Gate booed when Arsenal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adalberto Potter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Grant Echols struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Duncan Salas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for West Gate. In the 8th minute, Ed McCormick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th minute of the match Ramiro Ayers shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Duncan Salas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Damien Levy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sammy Cardenas in the 13th minute of play. After 14 played minutes West Gate got a freekick which was hit by Elton Frey. Keenan Cottrell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Duncan Salas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Duncan Salas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grant Echols in the 25th minute of play. Cole Soto struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Damien Levy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arsenal. Duncan Salas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grant Echols, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Damien Levy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cole Soto went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Cole Soto in the 51st minute of play forced West Gate's goalkeeper Damien Levy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in West Gate fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! After a defensive mix-up in West Gate's zone, Cole Soto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damien Levy came out of the goal and Cole Soto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 69 minutes, Elton Frey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the West Gate and the Arsenal players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 69th minute, Elton Frey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cole Soto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Duncan Salas made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Grant Echols sent off a good shot on target. In the 77th minute of the match Homer Hogan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Damien Levy showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 79 minutes into the match, West Gate's goal looked a bit too open when Cole Soto came free, but Damien Levy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Cole Soto put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Damien Levy. Adalberto Potter hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Arsenal's Sammy Cardenas got a free kick in the 87th minute. The audience was convinced that Keenan Cottrell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Duncan Salas was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. For all the effort they put into the match, the West Gate players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Arsenal.
