Tan Grande Como El Cielo's supporters rose to their feet, but Sid Koenig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After a rather tough play, Clifton Heights's Vernon Tidwell got a free kick in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Tan Grande Como El Cielo's Paul Hyde broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 41st minute Vincenzo Croft shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ward Carpenter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ward Paquette kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. A collision led to Clifton Heights getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Derick Fleming hit a great ball. Vincenzo Croft fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ward Carpenter having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Tan Grande Como El Cielo's goalkeeper Ward Carpenter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vincenzo Croft. Vernon Tidwell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Clifton Heights booed when Tan Grande Como El Cielo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position.
