Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell George Blum to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Alexandria FC's zone, Joey Blanchard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Sadler came out of the goal and Joey Blanchard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Monty Carroll might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Seth Garner. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Monty Carroll ran back to his position shaking his head. Monty Carroll received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Ricardo Sadler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Cook in the 94th minute of the match. Somerville were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
