In the 14th minute, Mike Parrish got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Stuart Pham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Connelly was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 18th minute. Yardley FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Nathaniel Espinoza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnathan Mooney having to interfere. Geoffrey Luna kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 34thth minute of the game Jonathan Connelly who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cooperstown AFC's Maurice Link was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Yardley FC's Jamel Farris got a free kick in the 37th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonathan Connelly was the one to do the kick off. Maurice Link showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Connelly in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Connelly in the 54th minute of play forced Cooperstown AFC's goalkeeper Maurice Link to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Yardley FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mike Parrish came free, but Johnathan Mooney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nathaniel Espinoza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Johnathan Mooney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Johnathan Mooney showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nathaniel Espinoza, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Nathaniel Espinoza scored 0-1 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Johnathan Mooney, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonathan Connelly recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Salvador Thurman's late challenge caught a Cooperstown AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salvador Thurman helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th minute, one of Yardley FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Yardley FC. With a little luck, Yardley FC's Johnathan Mooney got control of the ball when Mike Parrish tried to sneak it across the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Yardley FC's goalkeeper Johnathan Mooney had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mike Parrish. Jonathan Connelly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurice Link having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cooperstown AFC's zone, Stuart Pham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurice Link came out of the goal and Stuart Pham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jonathan Connelly came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Yardley FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Connelly couldn't finish the play.
