When Kristopher Stover came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the San Rafael FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kristopher Stover couldn't finish the play. Myles Albert stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robert Berg's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. When San Rafael FC's Robert Berg in 25 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Myles Albert guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Len Tobin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Omar Buckley having to interfere. Len Tobin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Drew Bond recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th minute of the match Marquis McGee shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Myles Albert showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to San Rafael FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Daren Crabtree hit a great ball. East Wenatchee FC's Gilbert Combs couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 39th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for San Rafael FC. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Drew Bond to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Len Tobin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Omar Buckley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Len Tobin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 59 minutes, Tyrell Rooney mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the East Wenatchee FC and the San Rafael FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 59th minute, Tyrell Rooney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, East Wenatchee FC's Myles Albert got control of the ball when Robert Berg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tyrell Rooney hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. East Wenatchee FC's Myles Albert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristopher Stover in the 80th minute of play. Robert Berg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Byron Reese charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Byron Reese the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 91 played minutes San Rafael FC got a freekick which was hit by Byron Reese.
