With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andrei Măgură in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Keld Paulsen saved Denmark from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chris Nygaard in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicodim Iacobeanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 76th minute, Gorla Goretzka made a precise shot to the right of Keld Paulsen. Denmark's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Ioan Cipău fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keld Paulsen having to interfere. Nicodim Iacobeanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Nygaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Semavi Tümerdem hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Chris Nygaard could shoot a difficult shot in the 92nd minute, which Nicodim Iacobeanu however easily saved by the left post. Gorla Goretzka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keld Paulsen having to interfere. The Fc Otelul Galati fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicodim Iacobeanu should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Fc Otelul Galati fans cheered their team off the field, for while Denmark had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
