Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Deon Rocha made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd match minute, Crazy Ducks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bryant Vaughan to maneuver through the defense. 5 minutes into the match, Micah Dawkins notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Crazy Ducks's Shannon Warren. Shannon Warren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 8thth minute of the game Mario Sapp who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chivas FC's Sammy Salter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 9th minute Mario Sapp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sammy Salter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bryant Vaughan struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Sammy Salter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Crazy Ducks. Thad Countess took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sammy Salter. Chivas FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sammy Salter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Sapp in the 17th minute of play. The supporters of Chivas FC booed when Crazy Ducks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leroy Church didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Mario Sapp came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Crazy Ducks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mario Sapp couldn't finish the play. 25 minutes into the game, Deon Rocha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chivas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Crazy Ducks the free kick. Deon Rocha hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute, Cliff Rowland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Crazy Ducks's Shannon Warren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deon Rocha in the 30th minute of play. In the 36th minute of the match, Mario Sapp tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sammy Salter saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Sammy Salter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mario Sapp's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Roberto Logan kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. The nice shot from Thad Countess in the 40thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Sammy Salter had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Thad Countess received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Sammy Salter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Chivas FC's goalkeeper Sammy Salter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thad Countess. After 45 minutes Chivas FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Thad Countess who took care of the corner kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mario Sapp was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes Crazy Ducks got a freekick which was hit by Leroy Church. When Claude Feliciano came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Chivas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claude Feliciano couldn't finish the play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Chivas FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! Thad Countess shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Sammy Salter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Sapp, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Sapp in the 62nd minute of play forced Chivas FC's goalkeeper Sammy Salter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mario Sapp might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sammy Salter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mario Sapp ran back to his position shaking his head. The Crazy Ducks fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Crazy Ducks's Thad Countess looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 72nd minute, Chivas FC's Pat Escobedo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Shannon Warren. Shannon Warren yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Deon Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 78 minutes of play, Crazy Ducks's Thad Countess made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sammy Salter was left in no man's land by his defense there! 83 minutes into the match, Crazy Ducks's goal looked a bit too open when Pat Escobedo came free, but Shannon Warren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mario Sapp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sammy Salter having to interfere. When Pat Escobedo came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Chivas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pat Escobedo couldn't finish the play. 96 minutes into the match, Crazy Ducks's Thad Countess sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sammy Salter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Crazy Ducks's Thad Countess in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chivas FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 98th minute, Thad Countess left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Crazy Ducks fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Chivas FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Crazy Ducks.
