After having played for 12 minutes, Genaro Pepper managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Willow Oak's supporters crossed their fingers, but Genaro Pepper was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andre Pereira in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paul Floyd prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Andre Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Willow Oak getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Mark Tran hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Andre Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Margate's supporters rose to their feet, but Andre Pereira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paul Floyd breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 22 minutes into the game, Margate's Andre Pereira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paul Floyd made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. DeAndre Ramsey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genaro Pepper in the 27th minute of the match. Ron Huff could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but DeAndre Ramsey made a huge save. The supporters of Willow Oak booed when Margate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jamar Harden didn't get a good kick on the ball. DeAndre Ramsey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genaro Pepper in the 39th minute of play. Don Rouse's late challenge caught a Willow Oak's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Don Rouse helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Willow Oak booed when Margate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Don Rouse didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Art Medrano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andre Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After the first half Margate were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Andre Pereira made the kick off in the second half. Ken David hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Paul Floyd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andre Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jamar Harden kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Margate's DeAndre Ramsey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ron Huff in the 64th minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Genaro Pepper got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Art Medrano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Art Medrano got free with Paul Floyd in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Andre Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paul Floyd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andre Pereira in the 84th minute of the match. Margate's DeAndre Ramsey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genaro Pepper in the 92nd minute of play. Andre Pereira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paul Floyd read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 99th minute of play. Margate's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
