Grady Grove charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Grady Grove the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 3rd minute, Grady Grove hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Luis Gilmore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luis Gilmore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Paul Floyd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hobbs's goalkeeper Edgardo Staley, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ron Huff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Edgardo Staley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rafael Crenshaw might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paul Floyd. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rafael Crenshaw ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 38th match minute, Hobbs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Lyle to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Hobbs's Edgardo Staley got control of the ball when Ron Huff tried to sneak it across the goal line. Genaro Pepper was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 42nd minute. Willow Oak's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Rafael Crenshaw struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Paul Floyd didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hobbs.

The wind increased when Genaro Pepper made the kick off in the second half. If Ron Huff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Genaro Pepper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Staley having to interfere. A collision led to Hobbs getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Luis Gilmore hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ron Huff in the 62nd minute of play forced Hobbs's goalkeeper Edgardo Staley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Genaro Pepper might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgardo Staley. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Genaro Pepper ran back to his position shaking his head. Edgardo Staley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genaro Pepper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Genaro Pepper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genaro Pepper in the 77th minute of play forced Hobbs's goalkeeper Edgardo Staley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Genaro Pepper in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgardo Staley saved Hobbs from getting behind. When Willow Oak's Genaro Pepper in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hobbs's goalie prevented a goal. In the 85th minute Genaro Pepper shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Staley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis Gilmore got free with Paul Floyd in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
