Duncan Miner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rosario Mullins in the 11th minute. A collision led to Port Carbon FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Johnny Sneed hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the match, MacArthur's Foster McFadden sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Duncan Miner narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Foster McFadden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frank Palmer charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frank Palmer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 19th minute, Rosario Mullins sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Port Carbon FC's Duncan Miner didn't even have to move. In the 26th minute Foster McFadden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duncan Miner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Foster McFadden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the game, MacArthur's Randall Tuttle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Duncan Miner made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Foster McFadden to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Port Carbon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Foster McFadden came free, but Duncan Miner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Foster McFadden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duncan Miner having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Port Carbon FC's zone, Foster McFadden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Duncan Miner came out of the goal and Foster McFadden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Randolph Meyer hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute Foster McFadden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duncan Miner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute of the match Toby Fugate sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Duncan Miner skillfully saved the ball. In the 66th minute Foster McFadden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duncan Miner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charlton Lopes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Markus Hester in the 68th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rosario Mullins in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Duncan Miner saved Port Carbon FC from getting behind. Duncan Miner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rosario Mullins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the game, MacArthur's Foster McFadden nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Duncan Miner made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. In the 90th minute, Foster McFadden made a precise shot to the right of Duncan Miner. Port Carbon FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. 94 minutes into the game, MacArthur's Rosario Mullins nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Duncan Miner made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. There was no doubt that MacArthur were the better team. MacArthur's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
