Spectators: 6796 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1796, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Foster McFadden took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, MacArthur's Randall Tuttle got a free kick in the 3rd minute. If Davis Beach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Winston Mahoney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosario Mullins in the 12th minute of play. Winston Mahoney came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by MacArthur's Foster McFadden. But to his dismay, Foster McFadden quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Foster McFadden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Winston Mahoney having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, MacArthur's goalkeeper Charlton Lopes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Davis Beach. When Al Koehler fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Porcupines's protests and gave Al Koehler a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 played minutes Porcupines got a freekick which was hit by Al Koehler. Foster McFadden blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Winston Mahoney having to make a save. 41 minutes into the match, Porcupines's goal looked a bit too open when Rosario Mullins came free, but Winston Mahoney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Winston Mahoney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Foster McFadden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, MacArthur's Randall Tuttle got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Josef Ryder was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Davis Beach in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Charlton Lopes saved MacArthur from getting behind. Charlton Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josef Ryder, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 56th minute, Werner Hemphill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Porcupines's zone, Foster McFadden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Winston Mahoney came out of the goal and Foster McFadden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Winston Mahoney showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Foster McFadden, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Rosario Mullins scored 0-2 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Winston Mahoney, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Winston Mahoney was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lorenzo Alvarez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 72 minute of play. When Al Koehler was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 78 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Porcupines's Al Koehler got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 83rd minute, Davis Beach made a precise shot to the right of Charlton Lopes. MacArthur's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Davis Beach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Rosario Mullins reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Winston Mahoney. The goal made the score 1-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Rosario Mullins managed to get in a good position for a shot. MacArthur's supporters rose to their feet, but Rosario Mullins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Winston Mahoney breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. MacArthur's Rosario Mullins got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over MacArthur could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Porcupines throughout the match.
