When Terrence Calloway came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Port Carbon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Terrence Calloway couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chuck Thurman in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Duncan Miner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chuck Thurman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ari Titus in the 31st minute of play forced Port Carbon FC's goalkeeper Duncan Miner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ari Titus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Johnny Sneed fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Port Carbon FC's protests and gave Johnny Sneed a yellow card for diving instead. Johnny Sneed kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Terrence Calloway to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Markus Hester had to leave the field with a concussion. Adolfo Mooney charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adolfo Mooney the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Duncan Miner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chuck Thurman in the 66th minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Cedric Puckett ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sidney Pelletier was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. When Johnny Sneed was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 78 minutes had been played. In the 85th minute Chuck Thurman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duncan Miner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ari Titus got free with Duncan Miner in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 88th minute Pele Pelson FC were awarded a corner. Jacques Ambrose went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to Port Carbon FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Cedric Puckett hit a great ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Pele Pelson FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
