The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brice Cagle helped the player get up and apologised. Moses Benoit recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Owosso FC's Rigoberto Howell got control of the ball when Thurman Buddle tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Owosso FC's zone, Shaun Weller stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rigoberto Howell came out of the goal and Shaun Weller tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brice Cagle got his second yellow card in the match during the 31st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 31st minute, Brice Cagle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rigoberto Howell stood somewhat misplaced when Shaun Weller came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 32 minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Graig Espinoza during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Chamberlayne's Graig Espinoza got a free kick in the 36th minute. Rigoberto Howell yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Shaun Weller stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Owosso FC getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Jesse Aguilar hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shaun Weller in the 51st minute of play forced Owosso FC's goalkeeper Rigoberto Howell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rigoberto Howell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shaun Weller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shaun Weller might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rigoberto Howell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Shaun Weller ran back to his position shaking his head. Thurman Buddle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Howell having to interfere. If Thurman Buddle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Owosso FC's Randolph Dawkins got a free kick in the 66th minute. The supporters of Owosso FC booed when Chamberlayne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lyle Harrell didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Randolph Dawkins fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Owosso FC's protests and gave Randolph Dawkins a yellow card for diving instead. After 71 played minutes Owosso FC got a freekick which was hit by Randolph Dawkins. 72 minutes into the game, Sebastian Valle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After 84 minutes of play, Chamberlayne's Thurman Buddle made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Chamberlayne had played much better football throughout.
