Spectators: 7845 (Terracing: 5885, Seating: 1804, VIP seats: 156) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Renato Altman kicked off to start the match. Shayne Herrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato Altman in the 3rd minute of play. If Basil Moon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcellus Cross in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Titus Brandt saved Brookhaven from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Frederick in the 17th minute of play forced Brookhaven's goalkeeper Titus Brandt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Jack Darby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brookhaven's supporters rose to their feet, but Jack Darby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shayne Herrera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bronson Goff could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Titus Brandt made a huge save. Cristobal Parnell received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Titus Brandt came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristobal Parnell slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 22nd minute. When Tim Donnelly fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brookhaven's protests and gave Tim Donnelly a yellow card for diving instead. After 25 played minutes Brookhaven got a freekick which was hit by Tim Donnelly. Marcellus Cross sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Connecticut FC's Marcellus Cross slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Titus Brandt. That made the score 3-0 after 30 minutes of play. Connecticut FC's Shayne Herrera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renato Altman in the 42nd minute of play. A hard shot 43 in the game by Marcellus Cross from a close distance when the talented Titus Brandt managed to make a qualified save. Brookhaven's players were relieved. Bo Byers's late challenge caught a Brookhaven's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bo Byers helped the player get up and apologised. 47 minutes into the match, Jack Darby had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Shayne Herrera. Connecticut FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jack Darby was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcellus Cross made a kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Connecticut FC's Martin Frederick nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Titus Brandt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Shayne Herrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato Altman in the 63rd minute of play. Titus Brandt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristobal Parnell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A long shot from Kareem Charles in the 68th minute of play was well struck, but Shayne Herrera made a really good save at the right post. Titus Brandt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristobal Parnell in the 70th minute of play. Shayne Herrera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renato Altman in the 76th minute of the match. Brookhaven's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tim Donnelly in the 78th minute. After taking down the ball on Brookhaven's corner Tim Donnelly fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Shayne Herrera quite easily take care of the ball. Martin Frederick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Titus Brandt having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Connecticut FC's goalkeeper Shayne Herrera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jack Darby. Renato Altman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Connecticut FC had played much better football throughout.
