Leo Toth charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leo Toth the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Club Proyecto 7's Leo Toth got a free kick in the 16th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Connecticut FC's goalkeeper Shayne Herrera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Tabor. Shayne Herrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Toth in the 29th minute of play. Bryon Le Van made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Frederick in the 32nd minute of play. Wilson Hernandez hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. A hard shot 38 in the game by Jorge Tabor from a close distance when the talented Shayne Herrera managed to make a qualified save. Connecticut FC's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Tabor got free with Shayne Herrera in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorge Tabor during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marcellus Cross fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryon Le Van having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leo Toth to make the kick off. If Martin Frederick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marcellus Cross in the 53rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bryon Le Van, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Shayne Herrera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Tabor, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Bronson Goff had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bryon Le Van. Club Proyecto 7's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bronson Goff was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Connecticut FC's Shayne Herrera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shaun Minor in the 72nd minute of play. Marcellus Cross blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bryon Le Van having to make a save. Cristobal Parnell came free with the goalkeeper in the 76th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bryon Le Van could save by the left post. A collision led to Connecticut FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Bo Byers hit a great ball. Club Proyecto 7's Bryon Le Van played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcellus Cross in the 82nd minute of play. Marcellus Cross sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Marcellus Cross took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Bryon Le Van to make any attempt to save it. The Club Proyecto 7 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Connecticut FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
