The Connecticut FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Bronson Goff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Benedict Chin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lazaro Boston could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Shayne Herrera made a huge save. Blakes AC's Alejandro Hope was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Shayne Herrera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Benedict Chin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcellus Cross in the 42nd minute of play. Blakes AC's Benedict Chin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcellus Cross in the 44th minute of play. When Lazaro Boston came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Blakes AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lazaro Boston couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Marcellus Cross made the kick off in the second half. Shayne Herrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lance Kilgore in the 55th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Connecticut FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Blakes AC.
