When Martin Holcomb came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Center Line fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Holcomb couldn't finish the play. In the 10th minute of the match, Clint McNamara got a very nice opportunity to score, but Joe Elmore was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 13th minute Aldo Watson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joe Elmore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Douglas Whittington placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 21st minute, Martin Holcomb hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emmitt Bledsoe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martin Holcomb's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. When Jarvis Dobbs came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Center Line fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jarvis Dobbs couldn't finish the play. In the 37thth minute of the game Martin Holcomb who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Century's Emmitt Bledsoe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emmitt Bledsoe came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Center Line's Jarvis Dobbs. But to his dismay, Jarvis Dobbs quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 46 minutes into the game, Center Line's Martin Holcomb nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emmitt Bledsoe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Jarvis Dobbs was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 53rd minute. Center Line's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Emmitt Bledsoe made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Jarvis Dobbs sent off a good shot on target. Martin Holcomb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 1-2 became the score in the 64th minute when Aldo Watson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 68 played minutes Center Line got a freekick which was hit by Pete Crosby. Joe Elmore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clint McNamara, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. The supporters of Center Line booed when Century was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Watson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emmitt Bledsoe made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Jarvis Dobbs sent off a good shot on target. If Martin Holcomb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Holcomb in the 77th minute of play forced Century's goalkeeper Emmitt Bledsoe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emmitt Bledsoe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jamal Graves's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. A collision led to Century getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Cedric Davies hit a great ball. In the 86th minute, Center Line's Martin Holcomb dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Jarvis Dobbs took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emmitt Bledsoe. Emmitt Bledsoe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. After 95 played minutes Century got a freekick which was hit by Cedric Davies. Center Line's Douglas Whittington couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 96th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Century.
