Spectators: 6000 (Terracing: 4500, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Nathaniel Babcock made the kick off which started today's match. Dean Aldrich stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alonzo Clay's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. After a rather tough play, Rio Grande do Sul Macaws's Rolland Workman got a free kick in the 10th minute. Garrett Conway who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Marcos English when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alonzo Clay in the 14th minute of play forced Rio Grande do Sul Macaws's goalkeeper Dean Aldrich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emmitt Cuevas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Garrett Conway received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Marcos English tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nathaniel Babcock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, one of Foster City:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Foster City. When Nathaniel Babcock fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rio Grande do Sul Macaws's protests and gave Nathaniel Babcock a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th minute Nathaniel Babcock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos English saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Foster City's goalkeeper Marcos English, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rio Grande do Sul Macaws's Nathaniel Babcock got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dean Aldrich stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alonzo Clay's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Alonzo Clay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alonzo Clay to strike the kick off in the second half. Marcos English showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nathaniel Babcock, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Dean Aldrich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alonzo Clay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Foster City getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Gabriel Gifford hit a great ball. Marcos English made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nathaniel Babcock in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nathaniel Babcock in the 66th minute of play forced Foster City's goalkeeper Marcos English to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Rio Grande do Sul Macaws booed when Foster City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caleb Goldsmith didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emmitt Cuevas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dean Aldrich having to interfere. A collision led to Rio Grande do Sul Macaws getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Gregg Cabourne hit a great ball. Marcos English stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nathaniel Babcock's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Marcos English showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garrett Conway, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After a rather tough play, Foster City's Caleb Goldsmith got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 79th match minute, Foster City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ed McLeod to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the match, Nathaniel Babcock notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Foster City's Marcos English. Marcos English was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Emmitt Cuevas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dean Aldrich firmly grabbed it by the left post. Emmitt Cuevas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Dean Aldrich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 96 played minutes Rio Grande do Sul Macaws got a freekick which was hit by Marvin Jarrett. Gabriel Gifford was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 97th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Rio Grande do Sul Macaws's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
