The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Bay Breakers FC's zone, Denver Thome stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Palmer Dubois came out of the goal and Denver Thome tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Donovan York sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Deshawn Wiley kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Manley in the 10th minute of play forced Lions FC's goalkeeper Korey Conley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 14 in the game by Sung Conrad from a close distance when the talented Palmer Dubois managed to make a qualified save. Bay Breakers FC's players were relieved. The supporters of Lions FC booed when Bay Breakers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Romero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sung Conrad's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Palmer Dubois skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Emery Kearns received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Palmer Dubois tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roy Manley stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Roy Manley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Korey Conley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sung Conrad in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Palmer Dubois saved Bay Breakers FC from getting behind. Sung Conrad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Palmer Dubois tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 61 minutes of play, Bay Breakers FC's Miguel Romero made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Korey Conley was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Sung Conrad in the 64th minute of play forced Bay Breakers FC's goalkeeper Palmer Dubois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Emery Kearns had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bay Breakers FC's Palmer Dubois played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emery Kearns in the 73rd minute of play. In the 76thth minute of the game Sung Conrad who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bay Breakers FC's Palmer Dubois was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Sung Conrad notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Bay Breakers FC's Palmer Dubois. Palmer Dubois was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 88th minute, Donovan York left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lions FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Brice Peters kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Lions FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
