After recieving a nice pass, Foster City's Gabriel Gifford tried to score from far away in the 6th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 8th match minute, Bethany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jefferson Sexton to maneuver through the defense. Oswaldo Bradley's late challenge caught a Foster City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oswaldo Bradley helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Bethany's Oswaldo Bradley got a free kick in the 18th minute. Gabriel Gifford, 19 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Emmitt Cuevas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Foster City's supporters rose to their feet, but Emmitt Cuevas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Willy Bryant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Willy Bryant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emmitt Cuevas, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. If Alonzo Clay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Emmitt Cuevas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Tyson Matlock didn't quite understand what happened when in the 55 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. In the 58th minute Alonzo Clay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willy Bryant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emmitt Cuevas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Willy Bryant made a huge save. Willy Bryant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alonzo Clay in the 62nd minute of the match. Gerald Blair sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alonzo Clay in the 91st minute of play forced Bethany's goalkeeper Willy Bryant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 93 minutes, Caleb Goldsmith managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Foster City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caleb Goldsmith was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Willy Bryant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emmitt Cuevas in the 95th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
