Spectators: 7679 (Terracing: 5760, Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zane Lovett started the match with the kick off. Ted Galindo was out of position in the 3 minute of play, and Rudolph Kohler capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rudolph Kohler really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Dirk Libby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Galindo having to interfere. Zane Lovett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Saul Tidwell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 15 minutes, Giuseppe Parsons mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tamarac FC and the Wafflemen FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 15 played minutes Tamarac FC got a freekick which was hit by Giuseppe Parsons. After having played for 18 minutes, Rhett Agostino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wafflemen FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rhett Agostino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ted Galindo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rhett Agostino, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 26th minute, Giuseppe Parsons left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tamarac FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Giuseppe Parsons struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Saul Tidwell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tamarac FC. After a defensive mix-up in Tamarac FC's zone, Dirk Libby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ted Galindo came out of the goal and Dirk Libby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 32 minutes, Rhett Agostino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wafflemen FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rhett Agostino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dirk Libbys short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Ted Galindo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Zane Lovett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute, Giuseppe Parsons got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Rhett Agostino kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ted Galindo. That made the score 2-1 in the 45 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rhett Agostino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rhett Agostino might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ted Galindo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rhett Agostino ran back to his position shaking his head. 61 minutes into the game, Wafflemen FC's Rhett Agostino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ted Galindo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Rhett Agostino might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ted Galindo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rhett Agostino ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rhett Agostino in the 67th minute of play forced Tamarac FC's goalkeeper Ted Galindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dirk Libby scored 4-1 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ted Galindo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Giuseppe Parsons was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 72 minutes had been played. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rhett Agostino in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ted Galindo saved Tamarac FC from getting behind. After having played for 83 minutes, Rhett Agostino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wafflemen FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rhett Agostino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 85 minutes into the game, Dirk Libby cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Ted Galindo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zane Lovett fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 89th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Zane Lovett managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tamarac FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zane Lovett was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saul Tidwell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If John Potts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 93rd minute, Rudolph Kohler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the game, Zane Lovett was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tamarac FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wafflemen FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Tamarac FC's Zane Lovett got a free kick in the 94th minute.
