Byron Chen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nathaniel Babcock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 minutes, Arturo Potter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stark FC and the Rio Grande do Sul Macaws players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th match minute, Stark FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Potter to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Warren Crenshaw managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stark FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Warren Crenshaw was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dean Aldrich breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 26th minute, Nathaniel Babcock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Warren Crenshaw might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dean Aldrich. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Warren Crenshaw ran back to his position shaking his head. The attack was good, but when Warren Crenshaw in the 33rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Warren Crenshaw succeeded in the game's 36th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Warren Crenshaw managed to get in a good position for a shot. Evan Todd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

If Warren Crenshaw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Garrett Conway sped through Stark FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Byron Chen. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nathaniel Babcock in the 66th minute of play forced Stark FC's goalkeeper Byron Chen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santos Keen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Warren Crenshaw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arturo Potter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, Warren Crenshaw dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dean Aldrich, 2-2. If Warren Crenshaw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dean Aldrich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Warren Crenshaw, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
