If Warren Crenshaw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gerald Blair fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bethany's protests and gave Gerald Blair a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Bethany's Gerald Blair got a free kick in the 30th minute.

A collision led to Bethany getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Gerald Blair hit a great ball. The supporters of Stark FC booed when Bethany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kip Pettit didn't get a good kick on the ball. Willy Bryant was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Phillip Seay. Santos Keen struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Willy Bryant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stark FC. Willy Bryant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santos Keen, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After a rather tough play, Bethany's Gerald Blair got a free kick in the 64th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Santos Keen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stark FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Santos Keen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Willy Bryant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Santos Keen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th match minute, Bethany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerald Blair to maneuver through the defense. Jefferson Sexton kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the game, Santo Snow was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stark FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bethany the free kick. Stark FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
