Bryan Daley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nigel Koenig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilfredo Wong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Wilfredo Wong's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bryan Daley was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. When the match had been going on for 62 minutes, The king In The North's Gerald Burris got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Bryan Daley. Wilfredo Wong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Bryan Daley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mercer's Bryan Daley proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Mercer from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilfredo Wong in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bryan Daley saved Mercer from getting behind. 76 minutes into the game, Mercer's Darin Dominguez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Josef Ybarra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. The king In The North's Wilfredo Wong got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Albert North came free with the goalkeeper in the 83rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bryan Daley could save by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilfredo Wong in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bryan Daley saved Mercer from getting behind. When Clay Lyons came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Mercer fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clay Lyons couldn't finish the play. Wesley Herndon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Darin Dominguez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Josef Ybarra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clay Lyons in the 95th minute of play.
