After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Jermaine Sexton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ladonia's supporters rose to their feet, but Jermaine Sexton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santiago Willingham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeff Willett's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 16thth minute, Santiago Willingham skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jeff Willett who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Santiago Willingham when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 19th minute, Joe Betts left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ladonia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Charlie Wilkins struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Casey Barr didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pennington Gap. In the 29th minute, Vince West made a precise shot to the right of Santiago Willingham. Pennington Gap's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Joe Betts struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Santiago Willingham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ladonia. Santiago Willingham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joe Betts in the 38th minute of the match. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pennington Gap's goalkeeper Santiago Willingham, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jeff Willett to make the kick off. Ladonia's Casey Barr proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Ladonia from getting a goal against them. 54 minutes into the match, Ladonia's goal looked a bit too open when Randy Lockwood came free, but Casey Barr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Ladonia's goalkeeper Casey Barr had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Charlie Wilkins. Charlie Wilkins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Casey Barr made a huge save. When Ladonia's Jeff Willett in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pennington Gap's goalie prevented a goal. In the 66th minute, Jeff Willett ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Santiago Willingham was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. If Jermaine Sexton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Florian Pritchett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute Randy Lockwood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casey Barr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Ladonia getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Florian Pritchett hit a great ball. Casey Barr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raphael Rosas in the 90th minute of play. Joe Betts might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santiago Willingham. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joe Betts ran back to his position shaking his head. 94 minutes into the game, Joe Betts cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Santiago Willingham was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ladonia were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Pennington Gap for a fine match.
