Chesapeake Ranch Estates FC's Ned Milligan got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Juan Hoffman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chesapeake Ranch Estates FC were furious when Rich Tobin was red carded, 24 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Domenico Blackburn during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Renato Patten dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. When Juan Hoffman came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Chesapeake Ranch Estates FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Hoffman couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rene Dickens got free with Renato Patten in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 87 minutes into the match, Libera FC's goalkeeper Renato Patten had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kory Whitt. If Juan Hoffman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
