The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Renato Patten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Field, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Domenico Blackburn struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Oscar Larson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Libera FC. If Reynaldo Field had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Sherman Burnett reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Oscar Larson. The goal made the score 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ian Borden in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oscar Larson saved A.C. Gamblers from getting behind. Sung Richmond took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oscar Larson. Oscar Larson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 30 minutes into the match, Libera FC's Sung Richmond sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oscar Larson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 34th minute of the match Bob Putnam shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oscar Larson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Luis Livingston hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute, Libera FC's Ian Borden dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ian Borden in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oscar Larson saved A.C. Gamblers from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in A.C. Gamblers's zone, Sung Richmond stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Larson came out of the goal and Sung Richmond tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ian Borden was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute of the match Bob Putnam shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oscar Larson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Ian Borden's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oscar Larson was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. When Libera FC's Ian Borden in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye A.C. Gamblers's goalie prevented a goal. If Sung Richmond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luis Livingston's late challenge caught a Libera FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luis Livingston helped the player get up and apologised. After 64 played minutes A.C. Gamblers got a freekick which was hit by Luis Livingston. In the 69thth minute of the game Ian Borden who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.C. Gamblers's Oscar Larson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 82nd minute of the match Bob Putnam sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oscar Larson skillfully saved the ball. After 86 played minutes A.C. Gamblers got a freekick which was hit by Theron Christopher. After having played for 93 minutes, Garrett Bowers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.C. Gamblers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Garrett Bowers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sherman Burnett hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match.
