Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Brant Merritt got the match started through his kick off. After 4 played minutes, Dimmitt's Weston Kidd shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tad Stiles came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dimmitt reached it. Tad Stiles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Berry in the 5th minute of play. Tyrone Blanton hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Azzurri's Tad Stiles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro Berg in the 12th minute of play. When A.J. Rubin came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Azzurri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that A.J. Rubin couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Azzurri's zone, Ramiro Berg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tad Stiles came out of the goal and Ramiro Berg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when A.J. Rubin got free with Stanford Rowley in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ramiro Berg might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tad Stiles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramiro Berg ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Dimmitt's goalkeeper Stanford Rowley, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tad Stiles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles Berry, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Charles Berry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tad Stiles having to interfere. Brant Merritt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, Dimmitt's goalkeeper Stanford Rowley had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by A.J. Rubin. In the 45th minute of the match Weston Kidd sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tad Stiles skillfully saved the ball. Charles Berry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Tad Stiles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Charles Berry made a kick off. Ramiro Berg struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Tad Stiles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dimmitt. The crowd rose to their feet as Ramiro Berg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tad Stiles. That made the score 0-1 in the 60 minute of play. Charles Berry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Tad Stiles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dimmitt's goalkeeper Stanford Rowley, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dimmitt's Stanford Rowley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brant Merritt in the 71st minute of play. A.J. Rubin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stanford Rowley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Tad Stiles made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Ramiro Berg sent off a good shot on target. Stanford Rowley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brant Merritt in the 88th minute of the match. Ramiro Berg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Tad Stiles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Dimmitt walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
