A hard shot by Santo Kilgore from long distance, 5 minutes into the match, got Ignacio Scott's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Boyce Boyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Ignacio Scott tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tim Pennington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Randall Cabourne in the 13th minute of play. A collision led to Walthourville getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Boyce Boyle hit a great ball. Glenn Horton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tim Pennington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damien Hobbs, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Ignacio Scott showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boyce Boyle in the 30th minute of the match. Ignacio Scott made an important save on a dangerous shot by Calvin Horne in the 32nd minute. Randell Lucas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tim Pennington. Walthourville's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Neal Dent fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lawrenceville District FC's protests and gave Neal Dent a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute, Neal Dent hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Calvin Horne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Calvin Horne was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abraham Gibbons got free with Tim Pennington in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 55 minutes, Terrell Yang mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Walthourville and the Lawrenceville District FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Lawrenceville District FC booed when Walthourville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Terrell Yang didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute Calvin Horne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacio Scott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boyce Boyle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lawrenceville District FC's Ignacio Scott played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glenn Horton in the 63rd minute of play. Tim Pennington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zachariah Jacobsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Ignacio Scott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boyce Boyle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute Noel Koehler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacio Scott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Lawrenceville District FC's Abraham Gibbons dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. When Noel Koehler fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boyce Boyle in the 88th minute of play forced Lawrenceville District FC's goalkeeper Ignacio Scott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ignacio Scott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calvin Horne, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
