The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Boyce Boyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronald Barrow having to interfere. If Glenn Horton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Boyce Boyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tyron Stewart's late challenge caught a Walthourville's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tyron Stewart helped the player get up and apologised. Tod Deal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ronald Barrow. USA Thunder's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Elton Mitchell charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elton Mitchell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Elton Mitchell hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Wyatt Jimenez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tim Pennington was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. When USA Thunder's Francis Hood, in the 19th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for USA Thunder. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francis Hood got free with Tim Pennington in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ronald Barrow showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glenn Horton in the 23rd minute of the match. If Calvin Horne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the game, Walthourville's Calvin Horne nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ronald Barrow made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. A collision led to Walthourville getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Terrell Yang hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute Elton Mitchell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Pennington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wyatt Jimenez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The USA Thunder players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Walthourville were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elton Mitchell to make the kick off. After 55 minutes of play, USA Thunder's Conrad Harris made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tim Pennington was left in no man's land by his defense there! Boyce Boyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Calvin Horne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 68 minutes, Boyce Boyle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Walthourville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Boyce Boyle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Walthourville's Tim Pennington played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elton Mitchell in the 70th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Francis Hood managed to get in a good position for a shot. USA Thunder's supporters rose to their feet, but Francis Hood was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tim Pennington breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 79th match minute, Walthourville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glenn Horton to maneuver through the defense. Tim Pennington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elton Mitchell in the 80th minute of play. Walthourville's Tim Pennington played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francis Hood in the 82nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Walthourville's Terrell Yang got a free kick in the 83rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Calvin Horne got free with Ronald Barrow in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tim Pennington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francis Hood, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronald Barrow made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Glenn Horton sent off a good shot on target. After 94 played minutes USA Thunder got a freekick which was hit by Sherman Underwood. Glenn Horton succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 96th playminute. The USA Thunder supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Walthourville's performance. The match ended with a win for Walthourville.
