Robert Courtney took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tim Pennington. Tim Pennington dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 15th minute, Boyce Boyle fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 16 minutes into the match, Robert Courtney notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Walthourville's Tim Pennington. Tim Pennington was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Boyce Boyle struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Tad Stiles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Walthourville. After 24 played minutes Walthourville got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Wilkerson. When Tyrone Blanton came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Azzurri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tyrone Blanton couldn't finish the play. Boyce Boyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tad Stiles having to interfere. In the 34th minute Boyce Boyle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tad Stiles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 37 minutes, Robert Courtney managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Azzurri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Courtney was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tim Pennington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brant Merritt in the 41st minute of play. Boyce Boyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Tad Stiles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Azzurri! Glenn Horton shot the penalty kick right outside the post.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Calvin Horne made a kick off. Tim Pennington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Courtney, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tim Pennington made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enrique Diamond in the 54th minute. Terrell Yang kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. The supporters of Azzurri booed when Walthourville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Terrell Yang didn't get a good kick on the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Walthourville's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Courtney came free, but Tim Pennington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tim Pennington didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from A.J. Rubin went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Robert Courtney kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 71st minute of the match Santo Kilgore sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tad Stiles skillfully saved the ball. Boyce Boyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robert Courtney during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 74th minute, Robert Courtney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Calvin Horne's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tad Stiles was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Tim Pennington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Courtney, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 84th minute Brant Merritt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Pennington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walthourville's Tim Pennington proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Walthourville from getting a goal against them. Tim Pennington was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Robert Courtney showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 90 minute of play. Azzurri's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
