Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Willy Horton in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Josh Addison prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 42nd minute Ste. Genevieve FC were awarded a corner. Lonnie Phelps went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Lonnie Phelps almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Winners FC's Josh Addison did a great save. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Angelo Addison to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Lenny Weaver put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Josh Addison. Ste. Winners FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ste. Genevieve FC the free kick. A collision led to Winners FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the match, Winners FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lenny Weaver came free, but Josh Addison reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ste. Genevieve FC fully deserved thier win.
