Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5250, Seating: 1610, VIP seats: 140) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sydney Marion kicked off to start the match. Benedict Hickey hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After 9 minutes, Adam Guevara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Taylor Mill and the Chicago Fisher Cats players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 9th minute, Adam Guevara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 13 minutes, Malcolm Sumner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chicago Fisher Cats's supporters crossed their fingers, but Malcolm Sumner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sydney Marion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Chicago Fisher Cats getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Sammy Cartwright hit a great ball. If Sydney Marion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rufus McIntyre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Taylor Mill's Adam Guevara got a free kick in the 31st minute. Sammy Cartwright might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Denver Hahn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sammy Cartwright ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Malcolm Sumner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Denver Hahn was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Taylor Mill's zone, Sammy Cartwright stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Denver Hahn came out of the goal and Sammy Cartwright tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Denver Hahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Malcolm Sumner in the 41st minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Malcolm Sumner to make the kick off. Sydney Marion blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Henry Calderwood having to make a save. Henry Calderwood acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 60th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Wilton Ames. When Malcolm Sumner came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Chicago Fisher Cats fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Malcolm Sumner couldn't finish the play. Chicago Fisher Cats's Henry Calderwood played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sydney Marion in the 73rd minute of play. Henry Calderwood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sydney Marion in the 75th minute of play. Taylor Mill's Sydney Marion got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 85th match minute, Chicago Fisher Cats was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bill Pierson to maneuver through the defense. Wilber Darden was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 86th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of Taylor Mill booed when Chicago Fisher Cats was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roy Eaton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henry Calderwood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sydney Marion in the 89th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Chicago Fisher Cats's zone, Sydney Marion stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. After having played for 95 minutes, Rufus McIntyre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
