The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Shaun Sullivan hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute Rudolph Ragsdale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rob Childs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saul Coffman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rob Childs. Jarrettsville's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Oswaldo Orlinsky had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rigoberto Cervantes struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Rob Childs didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. But to his dismay, Rigoberto Cervantes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Tyson Blair dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. 82 minutes into the match, Jarrettsville's goal looked a bit too open when Rigoberto Cervantes came free, but Rob Childs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute Rigoberto Cervantes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rob Childs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tyson Blair took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anthony Fuller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rigoberto Cervantes succeeded in the game's 89th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-4. The crowd rose to their feet as David Keen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rob Childs. That made the score 1-5 in the 92 minute of play. In the 95th minute, Oswaldo Orlinsky got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Rigoberto Cervantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Green FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
