Spectators: 7690 (Terracing: 5768, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alejandro DeJesus started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Rashad Andrews was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Golden Striker FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sinton the free kick. The supporters of Sinton booed when Golden Striker FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rashad Andrews didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute Brendan Oliver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincent Butler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 10 minutes, Junior Boston managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Golden Striker FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Junior Boston was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Sinton booed when Golden Striker FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brendan Oliver didn't get a good kick on the ball. Orville Davila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidio Birjaio having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Sinton's Alejandro DeJesus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ovidio Birjaio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alejandro DeJesus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Ovidio Birjaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rashad Andrews got his second yellow card in the match during the 36th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Rashad Andrews hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Ovidio Birjaio was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Terrence Mabry. Orville Davila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Del Rios was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Del Rios in the 53rd minute of play forced Sinton's goalkeeper Vincent Butler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Brendan Oliver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darron Manley came free in the 56th minute and tried to tip the ball over Vincent Butler, but to the joy of Sinton's supporters the ball went over. Golden Striker FC's Darron Manley got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Sinton getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Tad Morgan hit a great ball. Del Rios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincent Butler having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Golden Striker FC's zone, Alejandro DeJesus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ovidio Birjaio came out of the goal and Alejandro DeJesus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ovidio Birjaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orville Davila in the 68th minute of the match. Del Rioss short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Vincent Butler to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 70 minutes, Jude Wilder mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sinton and the Golden Striker FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jude Wilder kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Sinton's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Fletcher Moreland scored to the left of an out of position Vincent Butler, making the score, 0-1. Alejandro DeJesus struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Ovidio Birjaio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sinton. Vincent Butler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Del Rios in the 80th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Darron Manley during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 85 minutes into the game, one of Golden Striker FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 86th minute there was a penalty for Sinton. Terrence Mabry stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ovidio Birjaio. 1-1. Ovidio Birjaio came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Sinton's Orville Davila. But to his dismay, Orville Davila quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Golden Striker FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Sinton had won, even though Golden Striker FC had held more of the ball.
