Spectators: 6000 (Terracing: 4900, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Julio Starr started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute of the match Del Jennings sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Trevor Marin skillfully saved the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 8 minutes, Adolfo Paul successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Weldon Henry came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Devoto Shores FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Weldon Henry couldn't finish the play. Willie Browne's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adolfo Paul read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Wiley Chung sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute, Weldon Henry got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Weldon Henry in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adolfo Paul saved Otsego City from getting behind. Trevor Marin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Starr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Willie Browne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Paul having to interfere. After 27 played minutes Devoto Shores FC got a freekick which was hit by Weldon Henry. In the 30th minute Julio Starr shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trevor Marin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Starr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Trevor Marin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Devoto Shores FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Kristofer Marshall hit a great ball. Julio Starr struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Trevor Marin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Otsego City. When Mohammed Page fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Otsego City's protests and gave Mohammed Page a yellow card for diving instead. When Willie Browne came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Devoto Shores FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Willie Browne couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Weldon Henry made a kick off. In the 58th minute, Otsego City's Julio Starr ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Trevor Marin. Trevor Marin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. 63 minutes into the match, Otsego City's goal looked a bit too open when Weldon Henry came free, but Adolfo Paul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Wiley Chung came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Otsego City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wiley Chung couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willie Browne in the 68th minute of play forced Otsego City's goalkeeper Adolfo Paul to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute, Weldon Henry left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Devoto Shores FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Trevor Marin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio Starr in the 73rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Otsego City's Tanner Culver got a free kick in the 78th minute. Trevor Marin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wiley Chung in the 80th minute. If Willie Browne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Wiley Chung came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Otsego City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wiley Chung couldn't finish the play.
