With a couple of smart ball manuevers Blair Day in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adolfo Paul saved Otsego City from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Julio Starr managed to get in a good position for a shot. Otsego City's supporters rose to their feet, but Julio Starr was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Al Blackwell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eldon Olsen charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eldon Olsen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th minute, Eldon Olsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Nice's Thomas Morgan got a free kick in the 9th minute. Cory Crozier, 10 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Donny Stiles struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Adolfo Paul didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nice. 13 minutes into the match, Otsego City's goal looked a bit too open when Leland Puckett came free, but Adolfo Paul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute Nice were awarded a corner. Donny Stiles went to the cornerflag to take it. Ulysses McNeil's late challenge caught a Otsego City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulysses McNeil helped the player get up and apologised. The goalkeeper, Al Blackwell, was totally fooled by Otsego City's Cory Crozier, who 23 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Donny Stiles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Adolfo Paul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Del Jennings fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Otsego City's protests and gave Del Jennings a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Otsego City getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Del Jennings hit a great ball. Adolfo Paul didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Blair Day went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Julio Starr managed to get in a good position for a shot. Otsego City's supporters rose to their feet, but Julio Starr was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Al Blackwell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 39 minutes, Leland Puckett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nice's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leland Puckett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Wiley Chung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donny Stiles was the one to do the kick off. Leland Puckett was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 57th minute. Nice's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Blair Day had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leland Puckett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Paul having to interfere. Leland Puckett succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 68th playminute. Al Blackwell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mohammed Page, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Julio Starr recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81st minute, Donny Stiles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Blair Day received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Adolfo Paul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adolfo Paul made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eldon Olsen in the 85th minute. Otsego City's Adolfo Paul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donny Stiles in the 93rd minute of play. When Nice's Donny Stiles in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Otsego City's goalie prevented a goal. Adolfo Paul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donny Stiles in the 96th minute of the match. Nice's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
