An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Joseph in the 11th minute of play forced Devoto Shores FC's goalkeeper Trevor Marin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Young Delarosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Trevor Marin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dominic Barber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Weldon Henry in the 19th minute of the match. A collision led to Devoto Shores FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Sydney Whitlock hit a great ball. Young Delarosa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Trevor Marin made a huge save. In the 30th minute, Willie Browne left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Devoto Shores FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 33rd minute, Willie Browne made a precise shot to the right of Dominic Barber. TEXASFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 36 minutes into the game, Bill Dunbar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TEXASFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Devoto Shores FC the free kick. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Devoto Shores FC's Trevor Marin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Devoto Shores FC from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Devoto Shores FC's Trevor Marin got control of the ball when Young Delarosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Willie Browne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Devoto Shores FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sergio Joseph to make the kick off. The supporters of TEXASFC booed when Devoto Shores FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raul Swenson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Trevor Marin didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when TEXASFC's Young Delarosa shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-3 in the ordered_time% minute. After a rather tough play, Devoto Shores FC's Rafael Lopez got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 67th minute Sergio Joseph shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trevor Marin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sergio Joseph had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 100 minutes, Raphael McKnight mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TEXASFC and the Devoto Shores FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
