The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Korey Lucas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Mohammed Page fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Otsego City's protests and gave Mohammed Page a yellow card for diving instead. After 40 played minutes Otsego City got a freekick which was hit by Mohammed Page. Mohammed Page got his second yellow card in the match during the 47th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wiley Chung made a kick off.
