In the 2nd minute, Leland Puckett got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Willie Hollingsworth's late challenge caught a Nice's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Willie Hollingsworth helped the player get up and apologised. After 6 played minutes Kalala FC got a freekick which was hit by Willie Hollingsworth. Donny Stiles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jesus Hyatt having to make a save. In the 17th minute, Leland Puckett left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nice fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Jesus Hyatt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donny Stiles in the 20th minute of play. Nice's Leland Puckett got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 24 played minutes Kalala FC got a freekick which was hit by Jamel Bentley. When Nice's Leland Puckett in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kalala FC's goalie prevented a goal. After some careless play in the Nice defense, Reynaldo McDonough kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Al Blackwell. The Nice fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Al Blackwell should have stopped the shot. 39 minutes into the match, Nice's Leland Puckett sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jesus Hyatt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Leland Puckett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesus Hyatt having to interfere. Donny Stiles struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Jesus Hyatt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nice. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rob Goddard made a kick off. In the 54th minute Donny Stiles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesus Hyatt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Willie Hollingsworth was shown his second yellow card after 56 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 57th match minute, Kalala FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willie Hollingsworth to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 60 in the game by Leland Puckett from a close distance when the talented Jesus Hyatt managed to make a qualified save. Kalala FC's players were relieved. Eldon Olsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leland Puckett could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Jesus Hyatt made a huge save. Donny Stiles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesus Hyatt having to interfere. Donny Stiles was extremely unlucky when he, in the 68th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Nice's Blair Day got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Donny Stiles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leland Puckett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peter Norman kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Eldon Olsen struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Jesus Hyatt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nice. When the match was over Nice could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Kalala FC throughout the match.
