Raul Swenson hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Mohammed Page could shoot a difficult shot in the 36th minute, which Trevor Marin however easily saved by the left post. With a little luck, Devoto Shores FC's Trevor Marin got control of the ball when Wiley Chung tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 40th minute, Tanner Culver hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Otsego City's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Despite this Adolfo Paul quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Weldon Henry made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Weldon Henry managed to get in a good position for a shot. Devoto Shores FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Weldon Henry was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
