After having played for 19 minutes, Mathias Alvarenga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RISK UNITED's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mathias Alvarenga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 22nd minute, Vicente Munoz sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and RISK UNITED's DeMarcus Polk didn't even have to move. In the 24th minute, Christian Chung made a precise shot to the right of Jim Bassett. Smacker's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Chung in the 30th minute of play forced Smacker's goalkeeper Jim Bassett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Owen Melvin in the 32nd minute of play forced RISK UNITED's goalkeeper DeMarcus Polk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Owen Melvin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Smacker's supporters rose to their feet, but Owen Melvin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. DeMarcus Polk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mathias Alvarenga made a kick off. Vicente Munoz charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Jim Bassett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardino Oliverios in the 61st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mathias Alvarenga got free with Jim Bassett in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 74 played minutes Christian Chung rounded Smacker's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. DeMarcus Polk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anson Gillis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute Bernardino Oliverios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jim Bassett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernardino Oliverios in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jim Bassett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mathias Alvarenga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Jim Bassett made a huge save. A hard shot 96 in the game by Mathias Alvarenga from a close distance when the talented Jim Bassett managed to make a qualified save. Smacker's players were relieved. The Smacker fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. RISK UNITED were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
