Spectators: 7859 (Terracing: 5895, Seating: 1808, VIP seats: 156) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mathias Alvarenga kicked off to start the match. Mathias Alvarenga came free with the goalkeeper in the 7th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Stephan Nguyen could save by the left post. Stephan Nguyen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mathias Alvarenga in the 9th minute. Mathias Alvarenga in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Stephan Nguyen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 13th minute Bernardino Oliverios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stephan Nguyen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stephan Nguyen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernardino Oliverios's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. In the 18th minute, Mathias Alvarenga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stephan Nguyen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardino Oliverios in the 19th minute of the match. After some careless play in the River City defense, Mathias Alvarenga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stephan Nguyen. The River City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stephan Nguyen should have stopped the shot. Bernardino Oliverios was extremely unlucky when he, in the 26th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Earl Villanueva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mathias Alvarenga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Bernardino Oliverios came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the RISK UNITED fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardino Oliverios couldn't finish the play. Christian Chung blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stephan Nguyen having to make a save. Mathias Alvarenga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Stephan Nguyen made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute, Mathias Alvarenga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marlin Smiley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stephan Nguyen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Austin Barnhart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. DeMarcus Polk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmund Atkins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rolland Fairchild blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without DeMarcus Polk having to make a save. 62 minutes into the game, Carlo Duvall was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. River City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RISK UNITED the free kick. A collision led to River City getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Carlo Duvall hit a great ball. In the 67th minute Christian Chung shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stephan Nguyen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute Bernardino Oliverios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stephan Nguyen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christian Chung sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernardino Oliverios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stephan Nguyen having to interfere. Mathias Alvarenga struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Stephan Nguyen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RISK UNITED. If Bernardino Oliverios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Christian Chung managed to get in a good position for a shot. RISK UNITED's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Chung was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stephan Nguyen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Mathias Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 96 played minutes River City got a freekick which was hit by Carlo Duvall. 97 minutes into the match, River City's goal looked a bit too open when Midas Pazdan came free, but Stephan Nguyen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
