Spectators: 7524 (Terracing: 5644, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Owen Melvin kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute, Dustin Carey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 6 minutes, Dustin Carey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brekanov's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dustin Carey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Seth Newton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Seth Newton came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Brekanov fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Seth Newton couldn't finish the play. Perry Alley charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Perry Alley the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Perry Alley kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Owen Melvin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Mario Walton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jim Bassett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Seth Newton in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute Seth Newton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jim Bassett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Smacker's Anson Gillis got a free kick in the 25th minute. Mario Walton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Owen Melvin in the 33rd minute of play. If Anson Gillis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mario Walton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Owen Melvin, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Seth Newton to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Owen Melvin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mario Walton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Owen Melvin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Brekanov booed when Smacker was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gary Otto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Dustin Carey fired away a shot that was totally unreachable for Jim Bassett. The ball ended up just outside the left post, and Brekanov's manager could be seen angrily pacing the sidelines. Owen Melvin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Walton having to interfere. Gary Otto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Walton having to interfere. Mario Walton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anson Gillis in the 76th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Smacker's goal looked a bit too open when Seth Newton came free, but Jim Bassett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Seth Newton struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Jim Bassett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brekanov. Ken Tillman's late challenge caught a Brekanov's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ken Tillman helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Brekanov booed when Smacker was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ken Tillman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Seth Newton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
