The supporters of West Side Highway booed when AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Patterson didn't get a good kick on the ball. West Side Highway's Andrew Goode played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sterling Woodruff in the 69th minute of play. During the 71st minute of the match Osvaldo Patterson completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Osvaldo Patterson a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, AIK's Osvaldo Patterson got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Mohammed Wiley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Andrew Goode made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jed Knight in the 80th minute. Weston French sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle went the supporters of AIK were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant West Side Highway side.
