If Sterling Woodruff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alan Dye hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Rochester City's Alan Clement played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sterling Woodruff in the 18th minute of play. Jed Knight received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Alan Clement tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Sterling Woodruff made a precise shot to the right of Alan Clement. Rochester City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The Rochester City fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Rochester City's Isidro Henry looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. C.J. Palacios showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Kirkpatrick, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christian Kirkpatrick to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Christian Kirkpatrick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but C.J. Palacios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. C.J. In the 70th minute, AIK's Sterling Woodruff dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. A collision led to AIK getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Sterling Woodruff hit a great ball. When Christian Kirkpatrick came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Rochester City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Kirkpatrick couldn't finish the play. 77 minutes into the match, Sterling Woodruff dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alan Clement, 2-3. Alan Clement showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sterling Woodruff, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. AIK's C.J. Palacios played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidro Henry in the 85th minute of play. Sterling Woodruff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alan Clement having to interfere.
