Bo Cooper didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Delaware FC. Dwight Ryan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bo Cooper having to interfere. Ruben Grant hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Dwight Ryan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in TE Connectivity team's zone, Dwight Ryan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bo Cooper came out of the goal and Dwight Ryan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dwight Ryan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Bo Cooper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delaware FC's Kristofer Pagan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robby Macias in the 29th minute of play. Derick Deleon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bo Cooper having to interfere. Ruben Grant blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bo Cooper having to make a save. Kristofer Pagan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robby Macias in the 41st minute of play. Derick Deleon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Delaware FC booed when TE Connectivity team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cason Lilly didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Derick Deleon was the one to do the kick off. Delaware FC's Dwight Ryan got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to TE Connectivity team getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Charles Patrick hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Delaware FC's Reggie Gomez got a free kick in the 58th minute. Kristofer Pagan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfred Burger's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Bo Cooper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dwight Ryan in the 61st minute of play. Robby Macias struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as TE Connectivity team's Alfred Burger slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kristofer Pagan. That made the score 1-1 after 68 minutes of play. Ruben Grant charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ruben Grant the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 71st match minute, Delaware FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Grant to maneuver through the defense. Robby Macias who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Kristofer Pagan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Robby Macias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Virgilio Bowden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dwight Ryan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Delaware FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TE Connectivity team the free kick. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Delaware FC! Although Delaware FC had been in control for most of the match, TE Connectivity team still came away with the win.
