C.J. Palacios showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brandon Tripp, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 8th minute, AIK's Sterling Woodruff dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 12th minute, Osvaldo Patterson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. C.J. Palacios showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brandon Tripp in the 16th minute of the match. C.J. Palacios narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 25th minute of the match Nigel Posey sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but C.J. Palacios skillfully saved the ball. In the 29th minute, Brandon Tripp ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. C.J. Palacios was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Hector Domenec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. C.J. Palacios tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pablo Hammond charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pablo Hammond the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Uriel Abeijon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute, Osvaldo Patterson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Salvatore Staples fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without C.J. Palacios having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brandon Tripp to make the kick off. Longview FC's Raul Sims got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Brandon Tripp came free, but C.J. Palacios reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sherman Waite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 62 played minutes Brandon Tripp rounded AIK's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-4. C.J. Palacios stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brandon Tripp's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brandon Tripp in the 71st minute of play forced AIK's goalkeeper C.J. Palacios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to AIK getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Edmundo Jenkins hit a great ball. Salvatore Staples struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. C.J. Palacios didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Longview FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brandon Tripp in the 75th minute of play forced AIK's goalkeeper C.J. Palacios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brandon Tripp in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg C.J. Palacios saved AIK from getting behind. Uriel Abeijon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without C.J. Palacios having to interfere. After 81 minutes, Brandon Tripp made it 2-5 with a short kick to the right side. AIK's C.J. Palacios tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind AIK's goalkeeper C.J. Palacios, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 87 played minutes AIK got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Patterson. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brandon Tripp in the 90th minute of play forced AIK's goalkeeper C.J. Palacios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C.J. Palacios was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Uriel Abeijon showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-6 in the 91 minute of play. C.J. Palacios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sherman Waite in the 96th minute of play. Sterling Woodruff recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The AIK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Longview FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
