The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Rochester City booed when Longview FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brandon Tripp was the one to do the kick off. Erik Holley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Alan Clement made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Brandon Tripp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Longview FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Brandon Tripp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alan Clement breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brandon Tripp in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Alan Clement showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sherman Waite in the 94th minute of the match.
